CoolSculpting Cost: What Determines the Price?

A significant factor that impacts CoolSculpting cost is how many treatments are required to meet the patient’s desired results. One session using CoolSculpting technology with just one applicator is referred to as a treatment. For areas on the body that need mirror treatment (such as upper arms, thighs, love handles) two applicators will be utilized for each side. Mirror treatments are considered two treatments since two applicators are utilized. If a CoolSculpting provider only has one machine, areas needing mirror treatment will be treated with a single applicator one treatment at a time. Providers with two machines can use a single machine and a single applicator on each side at the same time. This is called dual sculpting.

The number of applicators needed for a specific treatment area is determined by the patient’s own body shape and size, as well as the fat-freezing results the patient desires. For example, some patients may only need a single large applicator for treating fat on their abdomen. In contrast, other patients may need two small applicators for the same area.

The sizes and shapes of the CoolSculpting applicators impact the ultimate cost. One treatment using the large applicator generally costs double that of a treatment using the small applicator. However, the large applicator covers twice as much treatment area. Therefore, the cost of the two sizes evens out. These specialty tools have their own pricing that typically falls somewhere between the price of the large applicator and small applicator.
